Transient Pastures
"As furry as sheep’s clothing;
It’s thick, fluffy, and profuse.
As timid as a white woolly.
I think it all fits you.
The greener the pasture,
The greener the opportunities await.
But friends don’t compete for one blade of grass,
For meadows are as vast as fates.
As evergreen as mountains,
Beautiful friendships grow eternal.
But there are leaves that shed too fast.
This, we have, seems ephemeral.
Picket fences are built for comfort,
They stand still and sturdy like your intentions.
But soon, they'll collapse,
There’ll be no room for circumventions.
