The Show
Brushed by the breath from a warm summer breeze, the wind chimes started the show
And the maple tree in her graceful form, swayed gently two and fro
As she danced to the sound in her bright green attire, she sensed a cool shift in the air
The wind had picked up and the clouds had turned dark, then lightning was suddenly there
With its tendrils stretching across the black sky, it impatiently flickered to ground
And she shuddered and shook from her limbs to her roots as it let out a thunderous sound.
But soon the storm passed and the rain could be felt as it flowed through the ground deep below
And she thanked mother earth for her nourishing soil and the water that helped her to grow.
