The Pursuit
Back then, STUNNING was not a word that I used;
But when I saw you, stunning is what you were.
Back then, neither did MAGNETIZING have a seat
At the table of my vocabulary when I first met you;
Back then, as if being pulled by a magnetic feel,
You drew me day after day with CAPTIVATING smiles.
Like the confluence of two rivers, one flowing west,
And the other south, our merging was OVERWHELMING.
Indeed, opposites do attract, and despite distractions,
For 50-plus years, we have been in pursuit of ONENESS.
Although the pursuit is challenging, you'll still my Valentine.
