That Was Then; This is Now

THEN I was carefree, and I wished to live forever, and yet always inside me was the knowledge that I would grow by learning more and taking on new responsibilities. Trials taught me that nothing in life is certain. I swam life’s flow in each new wave that came- as a wife, mother, teacher and friend. Some childhood beliefs I forsook. I hope I’ve evolved although in many ways I’ve stayed the same. However, I think I could accept death with grace NOW

Dear andrea, always love a double etheree that flows so well and is evocative. This poem really has that touch and is so very soulfully sincere. I especially love the way youv written “ I swam life’s flow in each new wave that came-“ and that last line made me feel so much! Sigh! I have so much respect for those that are ready for death and to leave and feel like theyv done their bit in this world. Thank you for supporting my contest. Congratulations on your top win. Well deserved

Thanks, Joe. It's all about belief I once had in my church. Even today I don't know anything for sure. Only that God is true.
