Sunflowers On the Road Side

The war is almost over, I found a four-leaf clover. I know it will bring good luck to me. For I only just turned three. I walked with my family down a dirt road. Sunflowers beside us, and I saw a little toad. I could feel my heart beating really fast. But we would arrive soon, for the war will not last. I am tired and I feel weak. Yet we will have food and shelter, for this is what we seek. The sunflowers have made me smile. Their beauty has brightened the journey, every mile. We are almost there, the border is just ahead. My tummy is making sounds, I cannot wait to be fed. But safety is our biggest key. It's going to feel wonderful for all my family.

Yes, as the country is going through a war, I was thinking of them as I wrote.
