Inspire by the quote "... that illness is not a sign of spiritual weakness, but of spiritual strength."-Neale Donald Walsh Each day as I awake The pain becomes very real As I drag myself out of bed Every sore muscle is what I feel Some times I wonder "what did I do to deserve this pain" Then I remember why, It's for the wisdom my soul will gain I've been shown by this illness How strong I can truly be One day from this physical body And illness I will be truly free This physical illness is mine In this life it's my burden to bear But it will help my soul grow Ascending into His loving care We all chose our path in life Long before we are ever born Each decision that we make Every Rose and every thorn. But when this life's road Is over and your job is done Spiritual strength and pure love Is what will be won.
