Silent Tears
Silent tears are what I cry
something I learned as a child
turning from all those who can see
keeping my feelings deep within
Silent tears are seldom heard
muffled whimpers sometime escape
my body trembling from the ache within
silencing emotions is almost an impossibility
Silent tears come from the heart
mourning for what has been lost
from the pain that's been inflicted upon me
they're felt through the corridors of my very soul
Silent tears fall freely
seemingly unending at times
releasing the anxieties which life has to offer
cleansing my innermost being, waking to a brighter day
