Silence Screams

I’m hurting Aching in pain Feeling helpless A quiet insane A friend is dying Cancer has set its roots There’s no denying I wonder what God would do It’s hurting Unfair tears fall Silence Screams Shatters on my wall She is hurting... And nothing I can do But wish her miracles " Give her a chance I beg of you" She's hurting.... And I'm dying too

Very heartbreaking, Arturo. My father died of cancer. I keep praying for a cure.

We have isolated these human battles with our obsession with needless things like weaponry and exploration! This is a vivid poem to put ourselves in their shoes. Thank for sharing this.

What an amazing emotive piece this is! I can feel the depth of your anguish and the utter helplessness you experience as your friend suffers from the ravages of cancer! Her grief is your grief - an awesome poem about the devastating effects of a deadly disease! Hugs. Pandita

Your last two lines broke my hear Arturo. It is absolutely ridiculous how a cure has not been found for cancer and yet technology is going forward in leaps and bounds - in 25 years from now everyone w ill have a robot in their house! A very sad but wonderfully penned poem my friend. Blessings, Jennifer.

'She's hurting// And I'm dying too. Nothing higher than empathy and care for a fellow human being. Nice, Arturo. ~ Gershon

There's plenty online to learn about cancer. It won't end. Our use of technology is only one source. It's a deep topic...happening in my family. If you live to be 84" you have had cancer at least six times and your body cured it. What we eat plays a huge part. Add genetics..stay way from XRay machines. Cancer loves sugar, too! Good one, Arturo
