Signs
For days she prayed for a sign,
until one night, a constellation shaped like a palm,
poured stardust on her lawn. They glittered
in the moonlight, making the night unusually beautiful.
She didn’t want the day to come.
The dark seemed to be romantic for the first time in her life.
The day was extremely loud and bright;
moments she missed her boyfriend’s dark,
mysterious eyes.
He was like a walking clear, night sky.
