of Knowing Thee

of Knowing Thee …Of Thee holding peace…Glory overlying, fine/ quite sheer radiance overall/ dimensional The Omnipotence of Thee Most Holy I-AM… nonperiel — infinite — intimate — pervasive Divine enduring Breath of Life composing the songs of legions of translucent angels opening petals unseen that our souls glean completely in the blessings of all the shades and hues of your redeeming life and light (from allizarin to zuggarat) dressing our hours… as graced in delight or suffering bringing degrees of learning to transform our journeying time anew — from being grown in humanity’s coarse ground — to becoming branches bearing the fruit of this New Wine grown from deeply rooted vines for Thee, by Thee and in Thee from dust to stardust: magnificent! ——————- ————————————*** Inspired by & written for my dear soul-friends at PoetrySoup.com (especially of late for the support given to me & Jim duing my illnss), as I am so daily touched by their poetry’s deeply creative spirits voicing their devotion to Our Holy Father God and King. I have found no other place on-line as similarly expressive of such blessed love. Finding the world of poetry here& & the sweet fellowship it founds, saved my life from a degree of lonliness & grief, after my beloved poet friend here in KY committed suicide without warning in 2019". I am so thankful…to God for the open & ready hearts that may be found here. In the theme of many poems I’ve read here, I’ve truly re-defined my definition of Gratitude. I repeatedly & repeatedly, too, pray God will bless all of you! (c) s.y.eslinger 5/2024 Thanks be to God—

Dear Sally, your poetic and spiritual heart shines through your beautiful, inspiring poetry like a beacon of light. How divine is this to read! I loved it and the title too. What wisdom, joy you have so skilfully captured here from your golden pen that lights with much strength through your profound beliefs. Like dear Duke has said - what a great, noble spirit you have. I loved all the heavenly imagery here. Also the very touching words that you have blessed so many with here at PS.

Hi Sally, another masterpiece – as if one such fine write would not be enough for a lifetime, yet you do it time after time constantly – as you say, we know God by light, by color, through His many mystical, radiant gradations: Flowering chakras opening, their feeling petals swelling and expanding, drinking in Divine Presence -- during such spiritual, soulful exercise, we sense omnipotence truly with us, around us, filling us to highs of ecstasy overwhelming from the tips of our toes to the top of our heads where I once had hair overflowing. I often wonder how one is not disintegrated instantly. Left a pile of ashes. Yet we are not, to the contrary brimming with sense of healing love indelible. Your art, your writing beams with dedication to God’s Presence and Love in action. You get a FAV from me. Joe.

Sally, you've had a lot of wonderful experiences with the arts and your talent is unmistakable to me. I have had several different careers, but also a liberal arts education, so I can appreciate what you've done. I feel like being in touch with you is a real privilege. You have a real sweetness that nothing can extinguish...so sorry you are suffering physically of course. It makes it hard, but you have a great spirit!!! Great picture of a cat above too on your Home Screen!!

Who is not in pain in this world, especially as we grow old? Reflections on the great I Am, with nature and emotions. May God heal you.

Sally, I love how you have a connection to nature and a real feeling that there is something profound in this world of ours. BTW, your comment below the poem is touching. There is a lot of pain in this world, but also joy in life that you identify. What's really wonderful is that you are here for all of us. A magical gift you are that makes me smile inside. Is that a self-portrait you drew for your image? It's very striking and a pleasure to regard. It's perfect!

I had a friend /still who encouraged my writing since i was 15. Mom encouraged my drawing.since i was 12. Age 6: we moved th NJ an hour’s drive from Manhattan, it’s museums, variety of people, foods, etc. at 19, my boyfriend, a musician, took me w/him to Harlem to pick up a guitar & heard Hendrix in the bldg practicing. Younger, my uncle Dick Bearden was Pin navy on Nautilus, went under N.Pole. At 9 we moved into an integrated neighborhood, rare in 1960. At 20, another boyfriend started at Art Institute of Chicago & i lived with him , learning everything he learned, even taking part with his class hanging their air sculptures 17 stories up, making news tv& front pages! I won 3 foundation awards for writing about livin poor in 1980…good fron bad… Blessed thru it all. Henri Nouwen has super writing re how to see God in small signs…like, yes, your dynamic penning & our discourse… thanks for so deeply hearing my poetry and your touching comment.

Hi Duke! Well, my frends say it’s a self-portrait tho a younger me 8-) my fave drawing theme s are women & cartooned cats. You might check for my poem posted on here called The Ladies (Women? ) I Draw.As for “something profound in this world,” that’s quite a dubious statement… i look for the good, & high on that list i might put dogs above people 8-) Meanwhile, tho, i will add, tho enduring very difficult phys battles & lots of pain esp since 2008, i ive a life very spiritual, creative & joyful. My life has been greatly blessed! Couldn’t have been born into a better family. Born in beautiful PA Dutch area w/working mom & gran who gave me God/Jesus/flowers/birds/how-to-see-goodness; dad, an u.s. hist/civics h.s. teacher & class counselo the kids all loved:older bro who became NJ State (atty) Council to defend the disabled. I was a student at Met opera school of Ballet.

Sally, your thoughts are elegant and have a lasting impact. An enchanting voice to enhance your poem. The somber tone resonates with the sincerity of a deeply felt supplication. You use vivid and holistic images leading on an inspiring trip - from the harsh realities of human agony to the heightened level of higher consciousness.

Dear Sally, your godly verses unveil the divine essence of God that permeates all of existence, from the infinite to the intimate. Through vivid, multisensory imagery, you guide me, the soul on a transcendent journey - from the coarse grounds of human suffering to the sublime heights of spiritual awakening. Your poetic genius honors the transformative power of the sacred within us all. This exquisite ode to the omnipotent force that imbues our journeys with meaning is a gift of enlightenment. - Blessings, my friend! Daniel
