Not My Day
I knew it wasn’t my day
As are most, by the way,
When my wife said ‘You’ve got another chore!’
With arms folded, standing at the door.
The lawn was my immediate guess,
I’d noticed it was in a terrible mess
But then again, could be to paint
Because that was yesterday’s complaint.
I must have looked petrified,
Her silence had me terrified.
You could cut the tension with a knife
Awaiting instructions, from my wife!!
