Mud Allures Me

mud~I love the musky scent that evaporates from the moistened earth bed during downpour and also relish sailing paper boats on the puddles.It serves as a home for tiny insects and invisible bacterias. precipitated by deluge emits sweet whiff forms splashing puddles Disclaimer: The special aroma that manifests in the air while rainfall is referred to as petrichor ~which actually comes from a bacteria called actinomycete that resides in dampened soil. Wonderful Haiku! Mud is most likely not a subject well covered, compared with the usuals.! Precipitated and splashing puddles partner in sound so nicely. As do emit and whiff sounds in the centre. The information about petrichor I didn't know. Very beautiful poem, V.
