John, a beautifully expressed Haiku. I love the metaphor and your use of alliteration. Excellent and enjoyed!

Thank you Susan - I normally write the traditional 5-7-5 Haiku, but occasionally I let myself go more contemporary!! This one is especially close to me, so thanks for the great comments. Regards, John.

A shattered mirror which could easily be a metaphor for a broken relationship that might last years or a lifetime! Regards // paul

I really like this. I think most people would be very dismayed to see a mirror break. Old superstitions die hard!

I've never been particularly superstitious - touch wood! :) - but I know some people are. In this case, the shattered mirror is representative of something else that - once broken - can never be the same; even if you think you've managed to piece it all back together again, the cracks are still there :( Thanks for your continued support! The contemporary form seems to be treating me well!

Much appreciated. Well done for spotting that there's more to this than just a broken mirror!!

Hello John. The voice and tone are true to the haiku format. You even managed to state your message with very few words as you wrote in less the seventeen syllables. May we all be aware of the broken glass. Well done.

Thanks for your kind comments, Lisa. Most of my Haiku are the traditional 5/7/5 form, but I've been delving more into the contemporary style recently - of which "Mirror" is the latest.
