Midnight's Come and Gone
You think, I'm sorry darlin', works every time
So, you keep on lying and trying
To fool me, with your touch
These days, that really doesn't mean so much
Midnight's, come and gone
Some nights alone, are just too long..
Well, I'm gonna miss ya, when you're wrong
Those blue eyes, that once were so captivating
Now, reflect another shade of green
The smiles, once so satisfying
Aren't worth my heart dying....
I'm gonna miss ya, when you're wrong
No more, our favorite song
This time, midnight's come and gone
Some nights alone, are just too long..
Well, I'm gonna miss ya when you're wrong
You let a good thing slip away
For a fast and young, yesterday
Gone, all those trusting, faithful years
No more wasted, lonely tears
Just like some old country song...
Where, I'm sorry darlin', works every time..
But midnight's, come and gone
Some nights alone, are just too long..
Well, I'm gonna miss ya, when you're wrong....
Too many, nights alone..
Now darlin', I'm goin' home....
