Median Life

Forget me when I'm gone, I did nothing great. In times of trouble I laughed At all the time we shed. Forget me when I'm gone, For I never really cared. I gave just enough To hope And not enough to matter. Forget me when I'm gone, I took the shortest path. I blamed all but me And danced When everyone else was weeping. Forget me when I'm gone, And never think I cried, Neither for good nor ill, But of a loneliness I can't escape.
