Gazing on this lilac tree Blooming here in front of me Its scented petals fill the air Springtime's sweet romantic fare A simple love is what I seek Dear Bluebird, may I kiss your beak? Or mon cheri, a little dance Somewhere far away in France? A bicycle that's built for two An Alpine ride, just me and you A baseball game at Citifield? Just tell me, to your whims I'll yield Let me show you my old home, Comb all the places where I've roamed Then finally where I hid the note When of my love for you first wrote
