Just Not In the Math
" It was good to see you today, has it been that long"
Over a cup of coffee and catching up on the past
We can laugh now, kind of got mad back then
Looking back at yesterday, wondering where we went wrong
"Want another cup, Hell we had a blast
"But you know what I do not think we had better go there again"
We were young and free, why ready for anything
You were level headed and I did not have any sense
Maybe it is a good thing you moved to that other town
Back then we did not know what life would bring
We have always been on different sides of the fence
Thank God, now our hormones have settled down
"Sorry he past away, but you say that he was a good man"
"Yes, I have been to divorce court a time or two"
"Sure I would marry again, if God picked her"
"Bur right now, I am doing the best that I can"
"Yes, I know sometimes it is lonely for you"
"To be honest now, that is not what I am here after"
"Well it is getting late and I had better be on my way"
"But it sure has been good seeing you again"
"I hope that everything good and happiness comes down your path"
"It sure was good talking about yesterday"
"Of all the place and where we have been"
"Yes, the numbers are here, but it is just not in the math"
