Sometimes it's just not your day. It's how you handle it that counts.
This is a repost from 2011 Hope you get a kick out of it.
Woke up this morning somewhere around four,
Foot caught in the blanket I fell on the floor.
Couldn't get back to sleep so I went for a walk,
Got caught in the rain my skin white as chalk.
Went to take a hot bath but could not find the plug,
So I took a hot shower and I tripped on the rug,
Getting out of the shower to dry off and dress,
And get ready for work, I must look my best.
Could happen to anyone I say with sigh,
As I examine the bruise found there on my thigh.
Feeling much better I brush out my hair,
And put on my makeup with practiced care.
I look pretty good in the mirrored wall,
Things will get better in spite of it all.
I get in the car and head off to work,
Forgetting about the stain on my shirt.
Went right through the light on the corner of Main.
Here comes the cop I'll be late again.
Accepting my ticket I smile and I say,
What else can happen, it's just not my day.
