IF ONLY YOU KNEW

IF ONLY YOU KNEW If only you knew what words to say Thinking none at all might be best Yet feelings need to have their day If only you knew where love resided Not in the brain, but an aching heart Restoring the link that silence divided If only you knew when it was right To apologise and really mean it too Yet I guess you’ll never see the light If only you knew why I ended it all Leaving a mere fragment of memory Of those two voices behind the wall

a solid contest entry, Howard. I feel regret and yearning to make someone aware of their impact on you (narrator's) life. Have a great evening, Sara
