From Dust

In their shadows, I am PREPARED. I stumble, but is swiftly lifted, PROTECTED. I stand on the grounds of many, many who walked with might; knowing their significance, I see them, standing tall, back broken, hands bruised; pride maintained. I stand on the grounds of many; many speaking to the earth, knowing what it provides; knowing that the earth will never forsake them. I stand on the grounds of many; knowing that they have their place. I stand on the grounds of many, many who know that from dust they are; and unto dust they will return. Catherine Johnson Broussard
