Forsaken
cloistered
a remote cell
unattainable
captive caged in heights
out of reach
and out of sight
the lofty dismal tower
of her despair
confined within
all hopes dangle anchored
to a passing ray of sunshine
or soothing ray of a moonglow
though brutally indifferent
to her predicament
she dares to dream
out a tiny crack
of one ray some day
caressing her cheek
