Death stare

I feel your cold stares colder than my body in this casket some cry others gossip at how I look how I'm dressed but it doesn't really matter anymore what people say about me I'm not here anymore to hear it or see the smirks of their hatred I'm resting now waiting for my new life one of peace and happiness **I've been to several funerals and I just take observation of how people act and how they are when they sit together in a group. So I'm writing this poem as a person that's looking up from the coffin and looking at their own funeral.**

Karen, I think it is really cool to take this perspective! Funerals can be interesting indeed. Some people leave gifts for the departed in the casket. The finality of death is hard for some to accept.
