Communication
Communicaion
We let the silence stand between us
Far too long.
Its shadow hid our thoughts.
Then we remembered the beauty,
That jewel of our lives, our friendship.
We spoke to one another then,
And the rime of ice around our hearts
Cracked and fell away
And we saw one another in the clear light again.
When we search across the gaps
Of misunderstandings
Striving to be something greater
Than the sum of our differences
When we shut our prejudices out
And let sympathy in,
Then we are noble.
Then we feel strength
In the midst of all our fragility.
