Cameo

Victorian ring, upon whose finger have you been? The stories you could tell, with just a cameo shell, a natural wonder, your spell I am under… Portrait of Psyche, or are you Aphrodite? Carved cornelian… time a chameleon, in a crinoline bonnet, but in whose tie pocket have you been? Now on my finger, Victorian ring.

Nicely written, Kate. I often look at antiques and imagine the stories that they hold. And then think that a couple centuries from now, I will be a part of their story as well.

Ooh this is lovely - I remember being similarly inspired by some vintage buttons

Thank you :) I'm always so intrigued about the past lives of objects
