Being Heard Is Like Heaven

These days I seek no more than this, discernment, verse gets heard, a comment’s icing on the cake, but ratings are absurd. A ‘one’ could be my best review, a ‘five’ the praise of fool, a compliment, fraud’s bloody cheek, fiends’ hate, prove poem’s cool! My poetry seeks empathy (don’t trials fill all days?) or shares an ark (that God provides?) with feelings castaways? I hope to give no solace here that does not square with God, to claim some knowledge, not of Him, would that not make me odd? We’ve access to the universe, and gift makes my head spin, provisioned so, unique or not, life’s place (God’s Grace?) All win! Does vision pierce beyond death’s veil or heart trust poetry, the magic of each Son filled day our eyes are blessed to see? Each night’s door closes on control but opens with a dawn that we don’t earn. Trust symmetry! Might God be real? Spot on! Real Science can’t say yes or no, and ‘models’ at their height suggest what’s real. Predictions can’t prove models right! When models clash (their math’s unique), yield same result, where’s truth? (1) Which model’s right, all answers poetry, love too, a kissing booth where humans pay for what’s received and vanity what’s shown? Is poetry the best we know, all knowledge overblown? Our models all are prejudice, like rhymes, vers libre (phase), a path we choose to walk upon (where ‘brain farts’ join life’s haze?)! I’d love to ask God (wouldn’t you), have more than faith, blind trust? Go home to ‘Eden’ of God’s Grace (2) though stars rhyme with our dust! Long Tooth February 3rd in 2021 Poet’s Notes: This poem’s music is symphonic to my ears, and I hope, to yours, and God’s as well! (1) If models of reality sound grossly different, for example: (a) atoms of matter all have fishhooks that bind them together (b) atoms are held together by invisible forces (or fields) and both models inspire equivalent equations that always give the same experimental results, how does one choose the best model? Hint: One way ‘out’ would be to suggest both models are flawed, and the truth eventually revealed! Ha! (2) Set aside your fear of death for a second! If God is real or not, can you conceive of a God that would be more worthy of worship than a God who loves us enough to share the death He predestines us to (should the mystery of His logic matter)? Does this theology suggest man’s vanity to you or offer evidence of God’s existence, a proof of His Love (that Grace is real?) Does it address your fear? Whatever your answer, our departure from this life appears inevitable! If Grace is not God, it would be God if He exists at all, I think, even if all my enemies go unpunished. Perhaps this is the best proof of God that I can offer you. Inshallah
