And the Songbird Sang
i am alive..truly alive
graced with good health
acknowledging the gift of a full life
nothing taken...everything given
no regrets..not one..ever
that no sun would rise or set
with a need to excuse
where I have been
or what I have done
for the heart to simply know
....to always know
it is never truly alone
and the songbird sang"
