Abandoned House With a Garden
This garden’s abandoned, the lawn grass is tall
The bushes and plants have grown high
Cracked slabs path is uneven and small
No one’s around to tell why
Front door’s off the latch, windows open wide
The table set looks quite appealing
Dishes of silver, and cutlery bright
A spider’s web hangs from the ceiling
Wormwood and ivies, greens of all kinds
Almost conceal the brick walls
Nature triumphs over man made designs
It's not a surprise, after all.
A man's born for changes, he builds and destroys
One day he sits back, thinks it's good
Some say now she comes on a pale Rolls Royce
Oh does she? I’m not quite assured.
