A Golden Day

Northern breeze blows golden leaves, Spinning down from maple trees. Fall-foliage blanketed knee-deep, Rest around rich scented sediment. While the crunching Sound echos, Over the canvas- covered Converse. Swirling ... a constant melody, Around the timeless day of the season.

I love the imagery, simplicity and rhyme. I especially like how you added the sense of modernity by using the Converse. A very nice twist.

Thank you For your kind remarks. I enjoy the simplicity too. I think sometimes people need to write long extravagant poems but I tend to writer short with less extra fluff. Thank you again for your thoughts. I’ll check out your poetry too! ??

A nice poem, I love autumn As a young girl I loved running through leaves and hearing the crunchy sound, and so many lovely colours.
