The Weeping Willow
You planted a weeping willow
The day we said "I do"
You said it was a symbol
Of our love so strong and true
You watered the weeping willow
With your tender care and smile
You said it was a promise
Of our happiness and style
You hugged the weeping willow
With your arms around my waist
You said it was a blessing
Of our passion and our taste
You left me with the weeping willow
The day you passed away
You said it was a farewell
Of our love that could not stay
I stand beneath the weeping willow
That droops its branches over your grave
I feel the tears that trickle down my pillow
That soak the earth where you are laid
