The Trouble with still being active and old

While no one in their right mind, Would not want to be old and active, With a mind that is there most of the time. Actively searching for other people, Who are also active, To be active with, Whose minds are there most of the time, Can be time consuming, And energy sapping, Which leads to napping, Instead of actively planning, Adventures that one still finds exciting, That are good for both body and mind.

i am back on a push bike which I got given for free along with a new helmet and vest, from a local charity called free rode. Also two poetry events coming up one paid the other if funding approved. So, still adventures to have. Regards David

Yoh., but still a great position to be in when one looks around at those who are half our age and totally crapped out. I have read that this is the first time in history where so many of older generation will outlive the younger generation. Regards David in NZ

Hello David, your reflection on the conundrum of being old and active strikes a chord with its honesty and wit. While energizing, the pursuit of companionship and shared activities in later years also poses challenges. I loved your playful portrayal of the cycle of activity, exhaustion, and rejuvenation, which captures the essence of aging with humor and insight. What a thoughtful exploration of the joys and tribulations of staying active in the golden years. - Blessings, Daniel

Thank you so much Daniel. We have a 5 year old grandson to the youngest of our two daughters and our eldest is expecting identical twin boys in August so they give us energy boost. We have 1 son who is still searching for mate. Also the two young boys next door have adopted adopted me and i mow their lawns for their solo mum. Through them I am back on a bike at 70 as charity called free ride fixed me up with bike , new helmet and vest for free. Best regards David in NZ
