Sunset
I live among the sunsets, all around
the dying flames of family and friends.
Shared dawns so vibrant, now so far away,
still remain remembered with affection
as are the days lost early in the morn.
The sultry afternoons we shared, passion
at its glorious, youthful lofty height,
soon softened into mellow winter eves.
I live among the sunsets, all around;
as I await the dark and midnight hour.
