She Was Faithful
SHE WAS FAITHFUL
All she learned about was
what she thought you wanted,
What she thought you wanted
was tried and applied.
Even yet, you wanted her to
change direction, and to question…
As to know the true way,
she held on faithfully,
to what she thought she ought.
She showed love the way
she was taught.
This was her learned truth;
‘’Was all she knew’’!
She was faithful to what you expected;
Without question or discernment
She proceeded on through
life’s journey in faith.
You being her only teacher.
She aiming totally to please
you in all her ways.
Asking forgiveness, for all sins,
and for the secret kept, she lived.
In a pitiful piety
Grandmothers and mothers
don't tell lies per-say,
they only lived, what they were
taught without questioning.
So, at life’s end:
She hoped she had met you at your point of pleasure.
Because she had been so faithful, and so doggone inexperienced.
Three babies later, never reaching any stimulation
that felt better than her fresh apple, homemade buttery,
vanilla, pound cake /
SILENTLY SHE ASKED herself, AND WONDERED ‘
why GOD NEVER made procreation at least as exciting a her
’Apple Cake’’ …as she slipped out of bed and ate slice number’’3’’.
