Searching myself
Do not know who I will be yet
The stone is never set
Of so much I dream
As out of reach as it sometimes does seem
I am who I want
Reaching for visions that sometimes haunt
Never quite the person I see
In the life that is meant for me
Outside myself looking in
Wondering where I have been
Love is the ultimate sin
Walking further away
Each day
Running from, or maybe towards tomorrow
All the sorrow
Life, I only borrow
Sights I see
I only wish to be free
Spread my wings and fly
...... So high..,.........
Seeking only to survive
Long as I am alive
One day at a time
Writings that have never made me a dime
Life is the rhyme
How far I must go
I shall never know
Come so far
Searching for my star
Behind me lies yesterday
Reminding me to go another way
Inside myself, I find
Peace of mind
From the life I have left behind
Grass is never greener on the other side
Tears are hard to hide
Love so far... out of my reach
Listening to people preach
Sitting here lost in thought
Was this fight well fought
What lessons were taught
Did I pass my dreams on by
In a teardrop that I once did cry
How far must I go
Before I know
I am here
Standing before you far beyond my own fear
So many a year
Has come and went
Was life well spent
Life passes on by
Who is there to cry
When you stand alone in life
Strife
