Love's Death
Love's Death
Held by the claws of sorrow,
To weep through sabre eyes,
Beckoning hope tomorrow,
In wishful thought she cries.
Once I was your flower bright,
Eyes that never wayward gazed,
Lips that shied all other knights,
A Heart of silk that never fades.
I cradle memories in my eyes,
A candle flickers in the wind,
Upon my shoulder, alone to die,
Voices whispering in the wind.
'Til Loves death blows our candle out.
