I WISH I HAD
As my memory turns the page
On that fine day of my fine age
I wish I held that dream so tight
And never threw it out of sight
On that fine morning, that fair glow
I wish I did not let it flow
Like running water free of rein
Like blood that flowed out of my vein
I wish I had the will to keep
That dream that hunts me in my sleep
The finest trace of faded past
I should have kept in me to last
I wish I had poetry contest
2nd place
