I Sometimes Wonder
I SOMETIMES WONDER
I sometimes wonder, just where does my poetry comes from
As, I just write the words, and then watch the poem become
Whilst standing at the kitchen sink, I think up all my funnies
Is it wrong as to be thinking of six foot white flamin' bunnies
Then, Jack, running through the park wearing but just a Mac
Since, when have I ever been known for showing others tact
I would have liked to have been quality, rather than quantity
Instead, I just come across to all as so just overly commonly
There are those here; who really, just know, the poetic score
Alas: thoughts of iambic, metering, and feet, to me just bore
There is no teaching; this old dog now, any new poetic tricks
As I ponder my new poetic write, as eating my fish and chips
