God Sees the Bigger Picture
GOD SEES THE BIGGER PICTURE
Joseph sat there in the prison, though not guilty of a crime,
And he thought of how he got there and the happenings of time.
He could have grown so bitter and have drowned in misery,
But he looked beyond the prison of a better day he'd see.
God sees the bigger picture, not just sketching on a pad
And He has a way of taking circumstances that seem bad
Making of them greater beauty, working all things for our best.
Yes, God sees the bigger picture so in Him I fully rest.
Job was sitting in the ashes, and his body full of sores,
And his mind was still digesting what had happened days before:
He had lost his many cattle, all his children now were dead,
He could have cursed God for the trials, but he said in praise instead:
There are many, many others in the Bible that we know
Who through life had many trials and were often tempted so,
But with God they gained the victory, and the story's there to see
God saw the bigger picture and He still sees it for me.
Often I will still remember many things throughout my life,
Many failures and my trials, and the many days of strife.
I admit, it overwhelms me, and I wonder, asking why,
It is then I need to trust Him and to know that God is nigh.
