Cayucos By the Bay, California
Springtime has her way--
as well, she has her will.
What more is there left to say
on this sea-salt, sultry day.
'Tis hot, the wind is still.
Springtime has her way
on hilltops by the bay--
Cayucos 'neath a flowering hill.
What more is there left to say
of lupines bright and gay--
of hilltop fields they fill.
Springtime has her way
as seashells wash and stay
within the sand. Yet still,
what more is there left to say
on this idyllic day
of sights and sounds, as idyll
springtime has her way.
What more is there left to say.
