A Cupboard Love
A CUPBOARD LOVE
She checks the fridge, it is full of food
But of her boyfriend, there is no news
Save her belly is full, she doesn't care
Worry comes, once the cupboard bare
Vibes picked up, he's on the way back
There is lots of money in his backpack
Cat scratches the wall; abruptly stops
There's no more eating left over slops
Rubs a leaner body up against his leg
Heating off his mistress hugs the bed
Sad, why does he have to be so mean
Leaving his woman to become so lean
Dosh on the meter, he warms the pad
Feeding her food, makes her feel glad
Runs a bath so she can get in to relax
Just to let her know he's got her back
Changes the sheets, and duvet covers
Reminds her; just why they are lovers
She dries off, then crawls into the bed
Was not long, she was in the land of Z
He slips out and as heads to the store
Now the cupboards are full once more
He is not a player; he works real hard
He wants the house, as that backyard
Wed her, to have kids in her own time
This mountain together they will climb
As fridge and cupboard full she knows
It won't be long, before again he goes
She's frugal to her it's all about timing
And to her empty belly that is whining
Coz', she wants that dream house too
And so, says the cat, with a little mew
