As spring leaps forward expectedly Cardinals sing a familiar song; Announcing birth of season’s new Perched in trees where they belong.
Hyacinths blooming graciously Expressing their blue sincerely; Coloring fields that once were white They only visit once a yearly.
Spots of snow melting slowly Revealing peridot grass underneath. Drenched sod cold and wet Green is this unruly heath.
Cool winds caresses the skin Signs of winter still remain Even in these warming days It's common to see light rain.
Children play rambunctiously Exploring the fields in awe Seeing colors that never were They can't seem to process it all.
As spring leaps forward expectedly With leaves so bold and green. Lapis skies blue and bright This spring, best yet foreseen. edited by Theo1112 on 7/13/2017
