Woods

We walked through the woods and saw piles
of cut timber waiting in well made bails
the narrow path meant we walked in file
onward down until we came to a stile
which lead us on for another mile
the beauty of the woods bowel
was high lighted in many styles
we listened to many bird calls
as we travelled through the dales

what a lovely walk, and I was delighted to accompany you! The rhyme scheme was so fluid making for an easy to read poem. Have a great evening, hugs, Sara

Lovely poem, with brilliant rhymes. I love the smell of wood. Pity but much needed to be cut.
