TOO CLOSE TO THE EDGE

TOO CLOSE TO THE EDGE

Whether one is in a state of fury
Or even lost in sad desperation
Never to antagonise the jury
When they review all the information
And they approach their deliberation
The verdict can be either good or bad
When this trial is over you will be glad
The outcome will be prison or locked ward
Perhaps the best is to declare me mad
And never trust me again with a sword

I liked your take on the contest. I especially liked your ending. Have a great evening, Sara
