My name is Deborah Seale Schnadelbach, previously it was Deborah Seale Miller. I wanted to take this time to write about who I am  and the reason that was and is behind the poetry I write.

I came from a home and place that was very broken. From one extreme to the other as a little girl being abused physically, sexually and emotionally to a fifty something year old woman that was in an abusive marriage. My life was an emotional roller coaster. I have loved much and lost much. I was in a dark place that felt as if the very air I had in my lungs was being sucked out with none going back in. I was suffocating with no hope of survival.

The poems and stories I write are about my journey from darkness into a marvelous light. And the source of the light in my life. When I didn't think I could go anymore, I saw a hand reach for me and get a hold of me and that hand changed my life.
