Am I doomed to follow
Or shall I make my own path

The stress no one feels
All except you

people go by
day by day
none see you
so there you stay

you sit alone

That Piece of Me

My life is not my own
yet I choose to believe
there is a piece of me
that I must retrieve

to break the hold
of those who bind me
I rise higher than them
and put them behind me

I now hold something
that's very precious
which now I can see
leaves me breathless

my destiny is mine own
and now I see
that I did in fact retrieve

Left in the dark
cold and alone
sitting in a room
while nobody's home

thinking to my self
never heard or seen

I try but may fail
with no place to go
Just keep fighting
was what I was told

I try so hard
Just to be accepted

till I got old
A fight to be remembered
was what we were told
some didn't listen
but I was sold

why should we forget
for I must know
all the time we spent
will slowly go

hate will spread
and then we'll know
that we forgot all
the promises which we've sown

friendships will brake
people will mourn
families will move
relationships torn

the days will end
and hearts be broken
people will move on
with no words spoken
