you can see anything you want to
in it's hazy luster
that is the real gift
all irritants made good
it is so valuable
to me
like promises
placed aside
glossed over
it is all too perfect
I suppose you/I just got used to it
the in situ grit
the art of necessity
made beautiful
somehow
each piece of wisdom
wrapped up
forgotten about
over and over and over
until you can string it all together
call it a life
because work went into it
did I tell you I own that representation of beauty?
yes, I know how lucky I am...
