Journey to Twitchell Lake

Along a winding, dirt-worn road, mother and I explored the unknown. Years of travel were exposed Where eroded potholes and pebbles sank and Leaves whirled and stirred On our way To Twitchell Lake. Through hilltops and valleys We travelled along Every bend in a corner Every leaf sang a song and through the desert deep in our souls Scented evergreens swayed First to then fro On our way To Twitchell Lake. Then upon our arrival We entered the grounds A great Adirondack porch circled around Then six authors left Their mark to know, They spoke their truths From deep inside their souls At Twitchell Lake.

This is delightful -- such charming imagery, and expression of Mother/daughter commitment to loving relationship. Excellent!

Thank you so much for your feedback. I appreciate your thoughts. I haven't gotten but a couple responses to my writing so I invite you to look at a few poems I've written. I'd be curious what you think. Thank you.
