Mea culpa my child
O frail you, frailer was your Fate That had it so beguiled, Your sad eyes sure had looked for me, O my ill-fated child. Me, too far ‘way to welcome you, You, having no time to wait, Get admired in father’s fond arms, Left, on that ill-fated date. Now, helpless to hold you to heart, Welcome you to my world, Let me the least give you this rose— A bit frail, no less curled. Amidst piles of painful thoughts, In a time-warped wan wave, I often see your pale soul, And would see till my grave., You came to us long years back, A bit pallid and pale, What a sore punch time had packed, Gusts of wind turning gale! And as I give you this rose, Why, I do wonder wild, To just turn time’s page, feel good? My guilt gets riled my child. No, to admit my guilt, my child, For not being with you, To wish— let your new life be pink, Whilst rest of life I rue. ________________________________________ Musings |03.05.2024| reminisce, remember, rose
