Wisdom For What Its Worth
Housewives who pray incessantly get little done domestically. Unless their husband’s are men who don’t mind living in a pig pen. •• Psychologists now say a child is denied a happy life as soon as its father conceives it with a woman not his wife. •• In the pursuit of happiness – and this is bizarre – there is much unhappiness say those who are. •• Dying begins at conception a not very auspicious beginning though its purpose is to bring life not extinction. •• A bird is not the only creature that flies, adulterous men are known to do likewise. And whereas no bird ever flies bare the fleeing adulterer that doesn’t is rare. •• Some reach a point in their lives when friends are dropping off like flies. It’s not very complimemtary, I grant, though it’s a good analogy. •• Driving on the road of life many fail to look ahead, focusing on the rearview mirror to see only what’s behind instead – more often than not a fatal error. •• Religion wears many a hat, some are tall, others flat, some are square, still others round, almost any shape can be found. Even more amazing than that, there’s a head to fit every hat! •• When near the end of our days, it’s said we dread the few that still lie ahead. And looking back at those behind offer little comfort to our peace of mind for though some are fondly remembered the not so fond are far outnumbered. •• Repetion may be the mother of retention, but it’s closest relative is monotony. •• Why put off doing today what you can do tomorrow? Because knowing you, you’ll say the same tomorrow. •• It used to be that politics was in the power of honest hands, these days it’s at the bottom of deep greedy pockets. •• It must be said with honesty few live by it honestly.
