Ephesians 1:7 (KJV) “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;” A song played. Melody, rhythms of beautiful, The tune was wrong, Buy the heart was so strong… A song portrayed, Music, in heavy lights, Softly fading into the hearts, Who believe, who agree to the tune, Light bleeds through the refrain, Coloring the nights in a distant grace, Faded by the dreams, the plans, Oceans of wind strewn diagrams… A song rendered the tables, the maps, Distant proposals and strategies, Left unmoved, unwritten, unbruised, By the quiet hands of time, traveling, Through the silence, into the night, Where dreams were such solace, Dreams – the consolation for barren Dread, breaking hearts, distancing hope… A song, rising in the lungs, in the soul, Cursing the darkness, the subtle tones of fear, Feelings left despairing of the beauty in a tear,… “I can’t believe I thought that”… heard the sounds, The new reflecting all the starving visions, Colors in vibrant sapphire and festive crimson, Lasting beyond the moments before the song burst, From the heart, roaring – a lion’s rumbling thought, Breathless, and startled by the delicate truth – Promising the wind to silence the storm, with light, Bleeding into the shadows, drawing out the rhythm, In hues of twilight, softly flowing – breaking Through skies with star strewn deliciousness, A healing touch, satisfying the one who can see, Beyond the past, the darkness, the overcast… Into the sea of joy, leftover knowing – melody of grace… Pouring out the music, the soothing, the beautiful In the tree, the rose, the jasmine vines, Wishing for the tumbling, trembling, tones Love washed feelings, blown by the thoughts, Who certainly see through the pains, the doubts, Into the hesitant flow of a whimsical peace, Where only the soul knows the wonder, The song that is spent blending hope with grace, Feeding the spirit with nourishments of joy and faith, Restoring the blessings that come from such a quite place… Just as He F O R G I V E S – a song, never silent, Walks over the heavens, restoring, reflecting, rejecting, All the fear that lives in the heart who can’t hear, The music, the song, the words that combine, To form a tune so brilliant it can actually breathe… Silence the living with song only hearts can receive, The song of light, falling softly On the spirit who can see – beyond the pride, the sin, the desires, Into the wonderful that comes to those who feel What it means to live in the shadows of His gift to believers, The gift of grace that burns up the darkness, Destroys the doubts and promises to give each heart a chance, And, even a second chance – then another, and another, Until the song finally emerges from their circumstance! A song played – and God forgave!
