Poem
The Veil of Time The awakening reliant sun, half dressed salutes the morning dew, Blazing its magnificence, a trail vaporous in its wake, A scattering feast of azure blue, beckons slumber from its bed, Time veiled conspiring with Nature as Eos takes her pew. And never ending stares, such warmth upon my chest, Silk weighted drapes open, flung, greets with equal dress. The battle lines between the tortoise and despair, hearts pounding To loves melodic tune. Red haired, knee high boots, rushing toward her lusts design, Soon youths ageing blood will know the passion of your, contours. Frantic, frail, frenzied, a wanton reflection meets destinies unbroken gaze, Childish excitement flows from every pore, as flesh’s ecstasy kisses And breathes as does yours. Kings Cross, the Comfort Inn, no comfort did we seek, flesh naked, Bodies entangled, dripped sweat like a river of molten lava Flowing through my veins, Collapsed, alive, exhausted, eyes coveted, darkness chases And the monotony of undesired sleep steps sideways in the sky, Loves allied crescent Moon. The unrepentant Eos half dressed, sweeps defiantly, sweat perfumed, Paled nakedness, desire bared, stripped raw, now but a waking dream. Your nakedness a cloak of dark serenity, that floats across my tear filled eyes, As I dare to dream never idle by, to see such want in my lovers eyes, And a million others like you and I, Waiting to be embraced, to embark in known and unknown pleasures Of lust filled flesh, vanity care we less. And yet darkness all to short a memory as the sun now rested comes alive With its early morning melodies, whispers endless, singing, no need for words. Our time unforgiving, as we wait the birth and another morning dawns, And our weary bones and tortured heads from the pit in which we succumbed Now dread, the laughter of lovers, the pain of your tears And all our yesterdays all to brief, as we kiss that longing kiss, Our nemesis pulling into view, I pull you even closer, oblivious, Trembling, lips wet, eyes sabre, time to go. Under a Veil of Time .
